AUTUMN IN GREER BOUTIQUE

Thank you for your interest in the boutique. We
feel that the fall season brings extra folks to the area so Oct 2nd
& 3rd should be a very good time for this event. The area has an
abundance of talented people who could use another outlet for their
work and we hope to provide that outlet in a lovely fall boutique.
The boutique will be held in the same building as Greer Grounds. We
also have a back up location. Advertising is ordered in some
publications and there will be adverting in the local papers.
Posters and postcards are available for your use. A mailing is being
sent prior to the boutique.
We are asking for hand crafted items like tree skirts, pillows,
paintings, drawings, wreaths, wood items, and such. This will be a
juried show. You can have as much or as little as you wish in it. We
ask that quilts lap size or larger not be included in your items but
you can do smaller quilted items and baby quilts. We are open to
seeing your creations.
The boutique will be decorated. There will be a Christmas tree for
ornaments and an area for other holiday items. We have tables and
stands for most items.
The cost for this year will be $10 per person plus 10 % of your
sales. All items must be inventoried in and have specific tags which
will be given to you when you are accepted into the boutique. We
will try to keep from having more than two people doing the same
type of thing. Pricing will be up to you. Payment for items sold
will be sent 15 days after the boutique.
A juried show is when you bring in a sample of an item or items you
want in the boutique. A panel looks over each different item and
decides if it should go into this particular boutique. If you are
doing pillows all we will need to see is one pillow. We will be
looking for workmanship and creativity.
We will be at the Amberian Peaks on Saturday, September 12th for
just this purpose. The Peaks is located at the south end of Main
Street. The entrance road is near the Red Setter Inn. The hours are
from 9am until 4pm. If you have a large item we will go outside to
see it so you do not have to tote it around. If you wish to mail
your samples in let us know in an email, we will make arrangements.
A dollar donation at the door will go to the Silver Creek Humane
Society. Proceeds from the dog biscuit sales at the boutique will
also go to the humane society. Your entry into the boutique will not
require a donation.
